Winter comes with spectacular seasonal delights: frosty walks, festive celebrations, hot drinks by the fire and beautiful autumnal scenery. But your skin might not be as happy about the colder days ahead. As the seasons change and it gets colder, you may find your skin becoming drier. Chapped and dry skin is common during the winter months when icy winds remove moisture from the skin.
With so many products on the market, it can be hard to know what product to use to solve your sore skin woes. And on top of that, you may be unsure about whether you can fake tan with dry skin. Worry not, you definitely can!
Helping your dry skin
One of the best ways to combat dry skin is regularly nourishing it with a quality, rich moisturiser. With Nouvatan, you can nourish your skin and build up a natural tan at the same time. If you’re looking for a fake tan that will make your skin glow, then try out our luxurious gradual tan moisturiser! Nouvaglow Gradual Tan Moisturiser allows you to slowly build up a natural-looking tan, whilst keeping your skin conditioned and moisturised, helping you maintain a longer-lasting, healthy glow.
Our specially formulated moisturiser is enriched with vitamins A, B5 and E, which will nourish your skin and bring protection and softness to your dry areas. The Nouvaglow Gradual Tan Moisturiser also contains a delicate coconut aroma, which will leave you feeling as pampered as a day in the spa.
Gradual tan is used in the same way as a regular moisturiser – you can apply it in the morning (as it is very fast drying) and let it develop throughout the day, or apply it before bed so you wake up glowing. Apply as regularly as you want until you get the colour that makes you feel most fabulous. Remember to wash your hands after use.
Top tips for dry skin
- Exfoliate – not only will this help your tan last longer and look smoother, but removing dry skin with light exfoliation on top of regular moisturisation helps to prevent it becoming dry again. For those with severely dry skin, we recommend using a wet washcloth instead for a gentler option.
- When bathing or showering, limit your time to 5 or 10 minutes and use warm rather than hot water – hot water dries out your skin by stripping the natural oils.
- Wrap up warm on cold days with gloves and a scarf.
- Drink plenty of water to keep your body and skin hydrated.
